As of Late July 2018, Communitheme is known by its new name – Yaru. The developers are still working on the theme and there may be more changes and style updates.
This is a whole new, fresh look to Ubuntu. Here’s a list of all the new features in 18.10: New Default ThemeĬommunitheme, the theme that was originally developed for Ubuntu 18.04, will be the new default theme in 18.10. This release is named “ Cosmic Cuttlefish” and has major changes. Kernel Freeze was on October 4th, and the Final Freeze will be on October 11th. Ubuntu 18.10’s official (final) release date is October 18th, 2018. Test out the features beforehand and help out the Ubuntu community by reporting any bugs you may come across. The beta version of Ubuntu 18.10 is already available for download, so if you’d like to try it out, you can.
